Rembrandtplein (Rembrandt Square)
Rembrandtplein is one of the main venues in Amsterdam for going out. In the Rembrandtplein area you will find cafes, bars, clubs, restaurants and cinemas.
Rembrandtplein is about 2.5km from Central Station.
The Red Light District is between Rembrandtplein and Central Station. Leidseplein, another venue for going out, is within 20-30 minutes walk. Coffeeshops are everywhere downtown Amsterdam.
The tram is the most convenient way to travel around through Amsterdam Center. Several trams have a stop at Rembrandtplein. It takes 7 minutes to Central Station, the Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh Museum
From Central Station it takes 20 minutes by train to Amsterdam airport Schiphol.
